ENGINEER'S  DAY (15th  SEPTEMBER)

The Engineering Community across India celebrates Engineers Day on 15 September every
year as a tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. 

Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, born on 15 September, 1861, in Muddenahalli near Chikkaballapur. 



Engineers From India Who Made Every Indian Proud India Engineer

India is moving quite fast to become a developed nation. This country is offering highly talented engineers for many years. There are thousands of engineering colleges in this country. All of these colleges provide the high-quality education to help them in building a great career. The leading organizations across the globe hire the Indians engineers. The Indian engineers ensure perfect
execution of vital procedures to finish crucial projects on time. Proven talent, hard work and a
supreme spot in their respective organizations are the traits of Indian engineers. Let’s find out
who are these hardworking engineers who made every Indian proud.


Successful Indian Engineer


1. Mr. E Sreedharan is the Metro Man of India. He is the most famous civil engineer in India.
Some major projects like Kolkata Metro, Delhi Metro, and other projects are designed by this man.
He was born in Kerala and studied in University College of Engineering, JNTUK, Andhra Pradesh. Elattuvalapil Sreedharan competed and cleared the Indian Engineering Services exam. He worked
for the Indian government and offered his support in some major government projects.
You must thank this man whenever you travel in the Delhi Metro or Kolkata Metro.


2. Sir M. Vishveshwarya
All the Indians celebrate the Engineer’s Day on 15th Sept because it is the birthday of Sir M. Vishveshwarya. He was 19th Diwan of Mysore, an Indian Scholar, and Statesman. Sir M. Vishveshwarya worked to reconstruct the engineering education system in the country.
He had received the Bharat Ratna in 1955. King George V had honored him as the Knight Commander of the British Indian Empire.



3. Sachin Bansal & Binny Bansal
E-commerce platforms are doing great business in India nowadays. Most of the Indians trust e-retail carts because of a company that has offered excellent services. It is Flipkart that entertained
millions of customers every year. It was founded by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal in 2007.

Sachin and Binny are not relative, as many people presume. Both of them used to work for Amazon. They thought to start their own start-up to meet the demands of all the Indian buyers.
Their startup got popular very quickly. Now it is the leading e-commerce platforms created by Indians.





4. Vinod Dham
Renowned as Pentium Engineer, Vinod Dham is an Indian engineer, venture capitalist, and entrepreneur. He has played a vital role in developing Intel’s highly successful Pentium microprocessor. Now Vinod is working as an advisor, mentor, and he is also one of many board members in many firms. Vinod is now working to fund Indian startups and offer them a chance of flourishing fast.



5. Kalpana Chawla
It is impossible to find any educated person who does not recognize the first Indian woman who went to space. Kalpana was born in Karnal, but she was born to prove that Indian women can do anything. She had studied in Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. Kalpana had later moved to the USA to get the masters degree in Aerospace Engineering. She studied at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Kalpana’s education was finished in 1988 and she joined NASA in the same year. She had worked in NASA’s STS-87 and STS-107 space missions. Kalpana Chawla died in the 2003 Columbia Space Ship Disaster. She received numerous awards for her services.
